Growing up in a musical family, I remember hearing lots of different styles of music and artists including Sergio Mendes and Joao Gilberto. One of my favorite Bossa Nova albums is Getz/Gilberto.
This is my ode to Bossa Nova. A song called Fade Out about disillusionment and the dangers that await us as a human race.
lyrics:
A beggar's at the door
Who's never begged before
A window to the shore
A prisoner of war
Marooned with nothing more
than television shows
Reality it seems
Is scripted by the wind
Fade Out
Explosions by surprise
The temperatures will rise
If we don't stop to think
Technology will win
Fade out
I can't remember what you said
I can't remember where you are now
